SOFTEN WRINKLES FOR A NATURALLY REFRESHED APPEARANCE

BOTOX & DYSPORT

WHAT IS BOTOX ?

Neuromodulators such as BOTOX®, Dysport®, Xeomin® Nuceiva® and Letybo are a class of pharmaceutical medications derived from the Botulinum Toxin Type A. The active ingredient is a Health Canada approved purified protein that’s used in cosmetic applications to temporarily freeze the muscles that cause unwanted wrinkles in your face.

Additionally, these neuromodulators offer therapeutic solutions for pain disorders like chronic migraines, hyperhidrosis for excessive sweating and masseter muscles for jaw clenching. Anti-wrinkle injections have been researched extensively and proven to deliver safe, progressive and satisfying results.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Two types of wrinkles can exist on your face: static (formed by lax tissues) or dynamic (formed by repetitive movements such as smiling or frowning). The neuromodulators or “anti-wrinkle injections” work by temporarily blocking the communication between nerve cells, preventing facial muscles from contracting. As the muscles relax, the skin takes on a smoother and more youthful appearance.

When these substances are injected into the targeted muscles underneath the skin, create a temporary weakening of the muscle contraction. Neuromodulators are very safe in that the substance doesn’t directly affect nerves or muscles. Instead, it works by blocking the nerve impulses from the brain relaxing muscle activity.

Expression lines and wrinkles, caused by aging and environmental factors, smooth and soften, giving the face a rejuvenated and refreshed appearance. Both substances are ideal for treating lips, forehead, around eyes, chin and the large chewing muscles (masseter muscle). But they also have more therapeutic uses such as improvement of Tension & Migraine Headaches, Bruxism (grinding of the jaws), Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), Facial asymmetry, and Teeth Grinding.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

Real, noticeable results: The best part is, studies show that neurotoxins start to act within 24 hours of injection, and can last up to 6 months.

The actual injection process takes about 15 minutes: Our medical specialists will discuss your treatment goals and perform a facial analysis to determine the appropriate treatment areas.

Return to your daily routine : Treatment requires minimal downtime or recovery. It’s often called a lunchtime procedure. You’ll be able to go about your normal routine immediately after you leave.

UPPER FACE

Frown Lines (between Eyebrows)

Glabella lines or frown lines are the vertical creases appearing between the eyebrows, generating a tired or angry scowling look. An expert practitioner at New Beauty and Wellness can smooth these frown lines, resulting in a rejuvenated and more relaxed appearance.

Forehead Lines

Forehead wrinkles or “surprise lines” appear more prevalent as we age. Excessive forehead lines give you a more aged appearance. Horizontal forehead lines are primarily due to genetic aging. Sun damage, smoking, and other forms of damage result in deep creases. Out anti-aging injections lessen the effect of forehead wrinkles.

Top of the Nose (Bunny lines)

Bunny lines are creases that appear when the nose wrinkles up when we sniff or smell something, etc. Careful injections of Botox can improve the appearance of these lines.

Eyebrows/ Hooded Eyes

Using an advanced technique, Botox injections can provide a “chemical brow lift” or “Botox facelift.” This procedure involves an experienced practitioner placing injections in specific areas on the upper face to open up the eye area and improve the appearance of droopy eyelids.Using an advanced technique, Botox injections can provide a “chemical brow lift” or “Botox facelift.”

EYES

Wrinkles around the Eyes (Crow’s feet)

One of Botox’s most popular treatment areas are reducing crow’s feet. These appear at the outer corners of the eyes, and they show up the most when you smile. LOWER FACE

Lipstick lines (around the mouth)

Fine lines around the eyes are known as “lipstick lines.” They become more evident as we age. Most practitioners recommend treating these with dermal fillers, but Botulinum Toxin helps turn the corners of the mouth up and improves a smile to reduce the appearance of lipstick lines.

Gummy Smile

Botox is often used during a procedure known as a Lip Flip. This procedure allows the upper lip to unfurl and look more full for the perfect-looking pout.

Chin Botox (to prevent dimpling)

As we age, the chin muscles become overactive. Meaning they flex more often than they should, creating a dimpling appearance. Chin Botox relaxes these muscles, smoothing out their dimpled effect.

Jawline & Neck

Lines and wrinkles develop on the neck as we age due to several reasons. Botox can smooth the neck in a procedure known as the “Nefertiti lift.” It effectively relaxes two lines around the neck: horizontal and vertical.

F.A.Q.

At Rejuvenus Clinic, we are dedicated to delivering the best service to our patients.

Here is a list of our Frequently Asked Questions. If you have any other questions or concerns, our experts will provide you will all the information you need.

Where Are Botox Injections Most Often Administered?

This treatment is indicated for dynamic wrinkles – those that occur when muscles contract to form facial expressions. The most common areas treated with neuromodulator injections are: frown line (between the eyebrows), forehead lines, and crow’s feet (around the eyes) and around your lips. However, if you have another area of concern, you may discuss with our experts.

Are Botox/ Dysport Injections Painful?

Most patients experience no pain from the injections. A topical anesthetic can also be applied for your maximun comfort. Wrinkle treatment is quick and simple with no downtime. After discussing your desired outcome with an experienced injector, the procedure will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes and side effects are rare. Using a very fine needle, a tiny amount of medication is injected into the muscle, and is virtually painless.

Will It Show I Had A Botox Treatment?

You will begin to see results 3 to 5 days after your wrinkle treatment with full results occurring within two weeks. At this time is recommended that you see us for a complimentary follow-up visit so that we can assess your final result. The effects of the treatment generally last up to four months. Therefore, in order to maintain your refreshed appearance, it is recommended that you repeat your treatment every four months. If the treatment is not repeated, the effects will gradually disappear until the treated areas regain full movement and wrinkles reappear.

Which Cream Can I Used Instead of Botox Treatment?

Unfortunately, there are no creams that can deliver a comparable result to wrinkle treatment. While creams and lotions work well on the surface of the skin, they are unable to affect the muscles below the surface that are the root cause of lines and wrinkles.

At Rejuvenus Clinic, we provide natural results. Our patients report refreshed and youthful apperance. Our experts take every measure to avoid giving you an overdone, unnatural look.

Most people are good candidates for Botox treatments. However, patients with certain neurological conditions, pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers may not be eligible. Please discuss your medical condition with our expert staff prior staring a treatment.
